Building an Iron Railing

In the side view I used the CV curve tool and created an S shape. I created a cylinder, lined it up with the S shape and extruded the bottom faces along the curve. I used the special duplicate to make multiple copies of the S curves. I created a cylinder turned it on it's side and scaled it down and stretched it out to make the actual railing. I duplicated the railing rotated it 90 degrees and dragged it over to the side of the building. After deleting the end caps on the cylinders I connected them and bridged them together, and then repeated that step on the other cylinder. I duplicated the joined railings twice, moving one on top of the S bars and the other behind the bars near the bottom.  Finally I created one more cylinder and connected the railings together and bridged the top railing with the new cylinder.
