Making the Pivot

Creating the front pivot

Created a cylinder in geometry and then drug it up to the bike frame

Used the taper option from the modifier list to taper one end of the cylinder and then used the rotation tool rotated it so that the tapered end faced the front. I then scaled the object to better fit the bike frame.

Used the FFD 4x4x4 modifier to scale the front part of the frame to fit the cylinder.

Moved the cylinder around to have it fit better with the frame.

Created a second cylinder and moved it up to the fender

Used inset on the bottom of the cylinder to give the bottom some curve, then did the same to the top except I made the inset a different size. Leaving the top as is I selected the four rectangles in the front of the top of the cylinder and then used extrude twice to raise the quads. Then with the rectangles still selected I adjusted them so they weren't' right on top of the other cylinder. Still using the extrude tool I then selected the back four quads and used extrude once.

Used NURMS to smooth the shape out.

Used the swift loop tool to give the bottom piece more details

Repeated the same process with the upper piece.

Used the cylinder tool to create the pivot and then re-positioned it so it was in the center of the other two pieces.

Adjusted the fender to better fit into the pivot usind FFD 4x4x4.
